A New Place

Unfortunately this isn’t a happy blog post.  It’s about some changes coming to Twigs + Twine Yarn Co.

Twigs + Twine was started as a mother daughter operation.  But the daughter has decided that the yarn business isn’t for her.  And that’s ok.  But that leaves me with some decisions to make about whether to continue with the yarn business and if I do choose to continue how to manage it alongside my bag business at The Handmaker’s Bag.

So…you’re probably wondering if Twigs + Twine Yarn Co. is going away.  And the answer is no.  I really enjoy dyeing yarn.  It’s fun to create new colorways and just seeing what they look like in the dye pots and how they come out.  But…to keep both businesses running I do have to make some changes.  It’s a lot of work just keeping one shop, blog, instagram, facebook and twitter going and although not completely impossible, very hard to keep two going simultaneously.  It means double the work.  So I’ve decided to combine the two under one roof – The Handmaker’s Bag.

What that means for you is the Twigs + Twine Yarn Co. shop will remain open for now but I will start to move the yarns over to The Handmaker’s Bag shop and eventually close the yarn shop.  I will also be closing the blog, instagram, facebook and twitter of Twigs + Twine Yarn Co.  It will just make everything so much easier for me to manage if everything is under one roof.

So while this is some sad news it’s not all bad.  Twigs + Twine yarn will still be available just in a new place.  You can go to The Handmaker’s Bag to find out more about the transition and shop updates.

If you are currently signed up for Twigs + Twine email list I encourage you to sign up for The Handmaker’s Bag VIC List to stay up to date on what’s happening with Twigs + Twine Yarn Co.  We thank you so much for your support these past months and we hope you will continue to support Twigs + Twine Yarn Co.  Just in a new place.
